Revision Policy
All our software is under
constant development. It's our policy to post problems and revisions whenever we
are notified of any problem with the software, whether it be a small problem or
a large problem.
When updating to a newer version, you can just run the new installer package. If
for some reason you need to install an earlier version uninstall the current
version before installing the new version. Previous versions may be found in the
File Archives
The old installer that came in a zip file is no longer supported.
With all the different sound cards and unique computer configurations problems
are inevitable.
We thank all the loyal users of the software for their problem reports.
New Beta Windows Installer package (msi). If you're

Revision History
Version
3.3.1 Build April 27, 2010
When resetting Serial Port speed and using Serial Port Polling, speed now resets
correctly. I apologize for posting the revision earlier today and another one so
quickly, but it seemed important enough to do it.
Version
3.3.0 Build April 27, 2010
Fixed issues surrounding using a USB to Serial Port cable. New option for serial
port polling because USB to Serial Port cables don't handle using IRQ's
properly. Increased connection reliability when using a CAT program such as Ham
Radio Deluxe. Editorial changes to Help file.
Version
3.2.4 Build Feb 07 2010
Fixed problem where software would interfere with logging off or
shutting down Windows. When Windows is going into the standby (sleep) mode,
software will close itself. This is due to availability of sound devices when
Windows wakes up.
Version
3.2.3 Build 01/23/10
Fixed problem with sound controls when
running Windows XP. Some sound cards would not respond correctly to the
Microphone and Line mute controls. Seems only Windows XP is affected.
Version
3.2.2 Build 01/23/10
Added option to assert the DTR signal on serial port while using CAT
commands for signaling. Some CAT interface cables derive their power from the
DTR signal.
Version
3.2.1 Build 12/07/09
Added a PTT Hang setting, to keep the transceiver or sound card
interface in transmit, after the ID is sent. Some systems were switching back to
receive to early and chopping off the last character. This problem cropped up in
the last revision that increased the size of the audio buffers.
Version
3.2.0 Build 12/06/09
Fixed problem where software may hang when opening sound card level
dialog under Windows 2000 and XP. Also increased sound buffers size, for less
audio interruptions with slower system, and/or machines with a high level of
running background tasks. Changed look of sound card level dialog when using
Windows 2000 or XP.
Version
3.1.1
Build 10/12/09
Fixed installer program where runtime files were not
installed
correctly on some computers. Problem would manifest itself with error messages
from the software that indicate a .ocx file was out of date or not installed
correctly.
Version
3.1.0
Build 09/25/09
Fixed problem where sound card interface would rapidly cycle between transmit
and receive when "Raise RTS on CTS" option was selected. Added option to
raise RTS on sound card interface when using CAT (computer commands) in order to
support the simpler type of sound card interfaces.
Version
3.0.2
Build 08/28/09
Fixed problem where some sound cards would stop responding after a certain time
period. Seem to only have been related to Windows Vista, but it is conceivable
it could happen under Windows 2000 or Windows XP.
Version
3.0.1
Build 08/05/09
Cleaned up error handling when software tried to access either a non-existent
serial port, or a serial port in use by another application. Fixed problem where
baud rates higher than 19200 were not recognized.
Version
3.0.0
Build 08/02/09
Added support for computer CAT commands. Fixed problem in evaluation software,
where the Pulser would not return to a start position. When software is either
minimized to the task bard or system tray, the I'der panel is selected so the
I'der is sure to operate. Evaluation software now
is identical to release software, except for the 10 hour cumulative time limit
and a couple of nag screens.
Version 2.5.3
Build 07/22/09
Fixed problem where if RTS follows CTS was checked and the keying options were
disabled, the RTS signal would drop.
Version 2.5.2
Build 07/11/09
Fixed problem where some users were shorted on the amount of demo time. Under
certain circumstances users could be shorted on the free demonstration time. If
you feel that you have been shorted, please
email me with the exact time of used time on the nag screen.
Version 2.5.1
Build 07/08/09
Fixed problem when keying options was disabled, the manual send button would
remain grayed out after sending ID.
Also fixed problem when running Windows 2000 or Windows XP and computer had a
sound device such as a Modem Line, the software would not initialize correctly.
Added better error handling to diagnose sound card problems.
Version 2.5.0
Build 04/17/09
Fixed problem that sometimes software would not remember to not display small ID
clock. Removed ability to resize main window, this was causing to many
compatibility problems. Added small indicator showing when the proper CTS serial
port signal is being received. Editorial changes to help file
Version 2.4.9
Build 02/22/09
Fixed logic on serial port option "Raise RTS on CTS" was enabled, that the
radio would not stay keyed while sending out ID.
Version 2.4.8
Build 02/14/09
Included a small utility program to look at Serial Port signals to help in
checking compatibility of a sound card interface. Editorial changes to Help
File.
Version 2.4.7
Build 02/04/09
Added option to Raise RTS signal when the CTS signal is raised. Some sound card
interfaces may require this option. Removed "Tray" button. Now when the dialogs
"Close" button ("X" in upper right corner) is clicked the software minimizes to
the tray. Editorial changes to help file.
Version 2.4.6
Build 01/18/09
Fixed problem while running under Windows Vista, where software would
just stop responding with some sound cards that use some non Microsoft standard
controls. One example was the Creative Labs Live! , 24 bit external USB card.
Version 2.4.5
Build 12/18/08
Fixed problem where on some computer systems either Microsoft Office Setup would
run when starting software, or an error message about a missing file name
"msstdfmt.dll"
